چکیده

The river Yamuna is considered a crucial in the Indo-Gangetic plain. Having 0.4 Percent of catchment area National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi, it feeds about 70 per cent population Delhi and hence, major source dependency for NCT Delhi. water quality monitoring River done by Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), on monthly basis. The objective study to investigate stretch, period 2003-2021. data has been derived from experimental analysis at DPCC across seven stations analysed present study. It revealed that pollutant load urban local bodies drains have stronger impact parameters after Wazirabad resulting deteriorated high-Water Quality Indices (WQI). Water Index (WQI) year 2021 indicates pollution increases during monsoon post-monsoonperiods while pre-monsoon remains relatively low.The average pH ranges 6 8 throughout year. comparative reveals dissolved oxygen (DO) most sites (except Palla) nil and, values BiochemicalOxygen Demand(BOD) Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) increasing tremendously, which due unregulated discharge or dumping sewage (ULB) river.

Seasonal assessment of physicochemical parameters and evaluation of water quality of river Yamuna, India

The concentrations of toxic effluents released into freshwater aquatic environments are increasing day by day and affect the aquatic biota. The present study outlined the evaluation of physicochemical parameters such as water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), phosphates (PO42--P), nitrates (NO3--N), electrical conductivity (EC)...

Assessment of water quality of Gamasiab River using BMWP and ASPT Indices

The rivers are under threat by numerous pollutions and their quality assessment is a need. Water quality of the Gamasiab River in Kermanshah Province was assessed using biological indices (BMWP and ASPT method). Six stations were selected and macro invertebrates were collected by surber sampler from July 2013 to May 2014. In this study, 11 families of the macro invertebrates from 10 orders were...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Bacteriological water quality status of River Yamuna in Delhi.

Bacteriological water quality status in terms of total coliform and faecal coliform count was studied on both--east and west banks of river Yamuna in Delhi. Membrane filtration technique was adopted for enumeration of total coliform and faecal coliform count in the river water sample collected on monthly basis for 2 years--2002 and 2003. The study reveals the impact of diverse anthropogenic act...

Groundwater quality assessment using the water quality pollution indices in Toyserkan Plain

Background: Iran is located within the dry and semi dry regions, thus almost 90% of the required water is secured via the use of groundwater. Owing to the increasing pollution of water resources, this study was performed to evaluate water quality pollution indices for heavy metals (As, Zn, Pb and Cu) contamination monitoring in Toyserkan Plain during spring and summer in 2012. Methods: A tot...
